Shepherd's Care serves the Hickory Nut Gorge, a four county area which includes parts of Rutherford, Polk, Henderson and Bubcombe Counties.
Mission Statement: Assist families and individuals with food, shelter, housing, medical and health issues, scholarships and care during short term emergencies.
With your help, Shepherd's Care is able to reach out to families and individuals less fortunate. Assitance includes:
- Distributing emergency food packages
- Providing non-emergency food packages
- Providing food to low-income families to help them during these critical times
- Providing food for the elderly and shut-ins when necessary
- Providing and distributing Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets
- Providing applications for food stamps
